The SyMBoL project meets again at the videoconference

Stave church in Ringebu, Norway. The only example of a similar building in Poland is the Wang Temple in Karpacz.

The last year of each project, SyMBoL project in this case, is always a busy time. From our side, the conclusions from in situ acoustic emission measurements in Norwegian stave churches and those from finite element simulations take shape.

We will present them to a wider audience during a conference organized by our partner in the project, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), which will be held online in the first days of September.

We discussed all these aspects during the next project meeting attended by representatives of all scientific institutions participating in the SyMBoL project:

– Cultural Heritage Research Group, JHI PAS,

– Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU),

– Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), Los Angeles,

– Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research (NIKU).

The meeting was chaired by prof. Chiara Bertolin from NTNU, SyMBoL project leader.
