The NAWA project recruits prominent scientists

Dr Lindsay Oakley

The funds obtained by Dr. Ɓukasz Bratasz, laureate of the NAWA Polish Returns program, have allowed us to expand our team. Many applications from scientists all over the world were submitted to the competition for research positions at the Cultural Heritage Research Group and after a thorough selection process, two candidates were accepted.

Dr. Lindsay Oakley, coming from Northwestern University, joined us in September. Together with the group, Lindsay will work as an Assistant Scientist at the institute on creating a comprehensive mechanical model of historical paint layers.

Dr. Mohammad Yaghoub Abdollahzadeh Jamalabadi, the second recruitment winner, will expand the capabilities of our team as an expert in the field of materials properties and numerical simulation.

We are proud to be building an interdisciplinary and multicultural expert network, which would not have been possible without the financial support of the National Agency for Academic Exchange.
