Our professors spoke at the International Conference on the protection of cultural heritage in the event of special threats

At the National Archives in Krakow (which we recently visited), a conference was held on the subject “Protection of cultural heritage in the event of special threats – climatic, environmental, pandemic and fire threats. Good Practices”. The conference was patronized by important institutions and personalities, including the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service – Chief of National Civil Defense.

We are glad that the organizers turned to Prof. Roman Kozłowski and Prof. Łukasz Bratasz with a request to speak at this event.
Prof. Kozłowski presented a short lecture entitled “New energy-saving collection warehouse in the National Archives in Krakow”, in which he explained the concept of this building, created together with prof. Bratasz.
In his presentation Łukasz Bratasz spoke about the Quantitative Risk Analysis in the field of cultural heritage.

We hope that thanks to such initiatives and the dissemination of an innovative approach that often exposes the disadvantages of intuitive decisions, heritage will be better and better protected!
