After ten years, we returned to the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London to “look” using speckle interferometry (ESPI) and “listen” using acoustic emission (AE) to wooden objects from the rich furniture collection. The research is conducted in cooperation with a group of scientists from the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) in Los Angeles as part of their Managing Collection Environments Initiative.
More on the research on the V&A website.
