Measurements of mechanical properties of tempera paints

We have tried many techniques and have prepared dozens of samples to be able to move on to the next stage, which is testing the Young’s modulus of tempera paint.

The very assembly of tempera samples in the universal testing machine was a challenge, but Kasia Poznańska worked diligently on the most effective method and she did it!

For measurements, we use a Zwick universal testing machine, purchased from the GRIEG project funds. Research is ongoing and the material database for the 3D model is expanding.
