Wintertime is full of performances

The breakthrough of the year is, on the one hand, time to slow down and enjoy the upcoming Christmas, and on the other hand – an intense time for summaries.

December gave us plenty of speeches at conferences and workshops. In addition to the previously mentioned CollectionCare and AChwOZ conferences, we took part in two on-line events:

Mechanics for Art Conservation Workshop organized by Imperial College London; Łukasz Bratasz gave a short lecture entitled Crack patterns in panel paintings: modeling and experimental verification

Imaging Cultural Heritage: technologies, methods, models and risk assessment workshop organized by Dr. Jacek Fiutowski from NanoSyd, Mads Clausen Institute, SDU (Denmark); Our colleagues presented their speeches:

  • Sergii Antropov, Microscopic scanner application for analysis of craquelure in paintings

  • Marcin Strojecki, HERIe – decision-supporting platform in the service of heritage science

  • Magdalena Soboń, Modelling the risk of fracture in massive sculptures due to environmental stresses

There is no better Christmas present for a researcher than the opportunity to present their results and discuss and network with other scientists 😊
