Lukasz Bratasz was invited by the Getty Conservation Institute to talk about “Museums in Carbon Neutral Future”. The panel discussion led by Eric Breitung (The Met), Cecilia Winter (GCI) and Rachel Rivenc (The Getty Research Institute) focused on two topics:
1. The current energy crisis and risk of energy outage affecting operations of museums,
and
2.The illusion that strict climate control ensures object safety.
Lukasz presented there HERIe – the preventive conservation platform supporting decision-making process in museums and historical buildings. It was illustrated how the platform developed with financial support of the Getty Conservation Institute and IPERION HS project can help in strategic decision when mitigating risk to the collection.
