Last week, we visited Dresden to discuss the risk of mechanical damage to wooden artefacts with a group led by Prof. Michael Kaliske from the Institute of Structural Analysis Technische Universität Dresden. Besides planning joint research projects and future collaboration, it was an occasion to admire artworks at the incredible Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister located in Zwinger.
